The famine, which is prophesied by Amos, is over.

The famine, which is prophesied by Amos, is over. The truth of Christ's Gospel is restored.

"Behold, the days come, saith the Lord God, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the Lord: And they shall wander from sea to sea, and from the north even to the east, they shall run to and fro to seek the word of the Lord, and shall not find it. In that day shall the fair virgins and young men faint for thirst." (Amos 8:11-13)

One may relate looking 'to and fro to seek the word of the Lord,' not finding the answers of the soul's questions. A great gift from God that will answer a lot of life's questions is the Book of Mormon. Heavenly Father had this prophets write the records abridged in the Book of Mormon for the latter-days.

Jesus Christ and his gospel is known as the Bread of Life and the Living Water. The gospel fills us with the Holy Ghost.

"What might Jesus have meant when He told the Samaritan woman that whoever drinks the water He offers will never thirst? How is the gospel like living water?" (Come, follow me.)

"Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." (John 4:13-14)

Imagine that you are full of the love of God, and all of your necessary questions are answered. There are questions that arise by doubt that can never be satisfied. It is not that the truth does not answer them, but doubt can never be satisfied. Faith fills our soul with hope for the perfect day. Faith requires many revelations. I said previously that the faith and belief of Jesus Christ is formal, and the Gift of the Holy Ghost ordinance by God's priesthood authority requires a interview with a church leader.

"And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money, Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost.

But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought that the gift of God may be purchased with money." (Acts 8:18-20)

The priesthood authority is the power that man works on behalf of God. The power of God is manifested in the performance of ordinances. There is structure in the Kingdom of God. The priesthood authority of God is in his "only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth." (D&C 1:30)

Please read the Book of Mormon. I need to get back to reading it daily. It will be the source of all life's answers, and one may never thirst by embracing the revelations in the Book. I am a witness of the power of the Priesthood authority and the Book of Mormon.
